3 Stars of Division 2 Pool Play

Thirty games have been played, and in every game lies a notable performance that defined the result of the contest. But these three players were the best of the best; here and the 3 Stars of AAU Nationals Division 2 pool play:

1st Star: (F)Matthew Siciliano, Middle Tennessee State University
5 Goals, 2 Assists, 7 Points in 3 GP

Siciliano is tied with for first for goals in the tournament, with two being game-winners for his Blue Raiders. Middle Tennessee State won Pool D, scoring four or more goals in all three games.

2nd Star: (D) David Israel, Florida Atlantic University
3 Goals, 6 Assists, 9 points in 3 GP

Our second star comes from the top team at AAU Nationals — David Israel & co. have dominated their competition en route to a 3-0-0 record, with a +20 goal differential. Israel had multiple points in all three games for the Owls.

3rd Star: (G)David Palandjian, University of Tampa
2-0-0, 1.00 GAA, 0.958% SV%, 1 Shutout

Our third star is another key contributor for a pool victor. Palandjian kicked things off for the Spartans with a 17-save shutout against Niagara and then helped Tampa nail down Pool E with 29 saves in a 4-2 win against South Florida.
