The leading scorer for the Cardinals continued his fantastic tournament against Fairfield in the semifinals. Torres scored the game-winning goal for his club and added an assist. 

2nd Star: (F)Paul Marshall, University of South Carolina – 1 Goal, GWG

Our second star also scored the GWG for his team. Paul Marshall waited until the 59th minute of play to get on the scoresheet, but it was the biggest goal of the season for the Gamecocks. With the score tied at 1, Marshall tipped a goal mouth pass into the net to lift South Carolina into the National Championship game. 

3rd Star: (G)Derek Joy, St John Fisher University: 27 Saves on 28 Shots, 1.00 GAA, 0.964% SV%

Derek Joy was oh so close to a semifinal shutout against Fairfield, but the Stags broke through with 30 seconds remaining to get on the scoreboard. Still, Joy’s performance has been stellar throughout the tournament, winning all four of his starts and stopping over 94% of the shots he has faced.
